Story

Stop using voltage dividers - Use the PB-LITE:

While making and experimenting with electronics, I discovered that the standard TP4056 development board, commonly used for charging and making projects portable, was lacking several features I wanted. These included:

  • Screw holes for fastening inside an enclosure.
  • The ability to read the percentage of the connected battery.
  • The ability to inform the microcontroller whether the battery is charging or not.
  • A standard battery connector to eliminate the risk when soldering the battery directly to the board.
  • A smaller footprint to fit into smaller projects.

I worked on and off on this board for half a year, seeing what worked and what didn't while utilizing it in some of my ongoing projects. Now, I am confident enough to show it to the world.

Bring your idea to life effortlessly with our comprehensive documentation. Say goodbye to the headaches of powering your project - we've got you covered every step of the way. This includes step-by-step instructions on how to use the different features of the PB-LITE, while also providing all necessary resources such as MicroPython and Arduino code, as well as 3D files and imagery.

Incorporating a component into a CAD design is normally a pain. However, we provide the 3D file of the PB-LITE, allowing you to easily import it into your design. So, put away those calipers!
